Jilly does PADI!

Day 10 - Its raining is pouring the old man is definately snoring very loudly!!

As I write this to you right now, it is pouring down with rain. I know I know most of you think I dont know what rain is, and it's probably not that bad, but honestly this is real rain. My room is about 50 meters from the sea and I can't see it. The thunder is so loud like nothing I have ever heard before and the lightening really does light up the sky. Wow what a storm! How I am ever going to get my dive kit dry to bring it home, I don't know, It has been on my balcony for 2 days, and is still wet it's so humid (no it wasnt in the rain!)

So, today was another optional day, to do the Digital Underwater Photography Instructor Trainer Course. We headed out to the pool fairly early, as James figured (correctly) that we might have a storm like we did yesterday afternoon (and tonight in fact everyday so far, but usually its started at 6 ish just yesterday, it was early)

We swam around the pool taking pictures of a cow, a dump truck or "pumd" truck, as one side of it said. And of various plastic fruits. Once we had done that, we headed of to the boat whoooppeee! We are going diving. So excited I can't tell you!!!!

We got to the dive site and they were not sure if we were going to have enough vis because of the storm yesterday. But, eventually they decided it was ok. Bianca, Richard and I are in a team of 3. In the water Bianca and I taste the water (like you do!!) and found it was nearly like fresh water compared to Sharm. Then we looked down (the brief was any deeper than 6/7 meters it would just be sand so stay in the top 5) oh its green and we can just see the bottom 3 meters below, think I remember now, someone saying that the diving was better on the other side of the island!! Always in the wrong place! Anyway, we had a great time playing at taking photos. Then it was back to the classroom, for us to choose our best 5 shots. They didnt tell us till afterwards, that they are going to show them at the banquet dinner on the last night.

So our day ends and I am having an early night. As Richard said this morning, he feels like he is running on batteries that need recharging, I know how he feels.

So those of you that think I am having a great time sunbathing over here, I am still as white as the day I arrived and it doesnt look like that is going to change.
