Day 11 - High Five !!
Today was our presentation for the Show Me The Money Dive Centre! All the teams had to pitch their dive centre to James, in order to get him to join our dive centre to do his IDC. Some people were very imaginative, and there were some great ideas around the room. Of course we were the best, after the testimonials some of you gave to our Facebook group, how could we not be!!! Always go for the positives, as James would say!! But alas, we will not find out the results 'till tomorrow, so I will have to let you know then how we got on. There are 10000 points at stake here, and we really need them.
In the afternoon, we had our second IDC presentation to present to the staff. I had a really nice one to do, NOT!!! Legal and Risk Management! I have only taught this one once before, so its a fairly new topic for me. HAHAHAHA! I am back in the game I nailed it top score of a 5. After the other down day I had, this brings me back up, ready to fly again.
I think after having that bad day, Garry has lost all confidence in me. During his presentation, one of the questions he asked, was for some one starting their rescue course, their EFR cert had to be valid within the last how many months. AS I was in the process of saying 24 months, I happened to look up up to see him mouthing "24 months"!!! I didnt realise I was THAT bad the other day. LOL.
So, tomorrow is a whole day of open water skills and rescue evaluation. Lets hope lady luck holds out on me and my breathing tape hasnt played so much its worn out. And to the storm Gods - give us a break! Its rained enough now, we don't need to see any more of it. We will be wet enough all day!!
By the way can aliminium get struck by lightening or wi'll I be ok??
